Tutoring with an Ontario Certified Teacher

My name is Carolina Barbuto and I am an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) specialized in Junior, Intermediate, and Senior-level education. ​Before becoming a classroom teacher, I worked as an Educational Assistant, supporting students with Individualized Education Plans. My experience in Special Education grounded my firm belief that impactful education must be as unique as the student receiving it. My mission is to provide precision-targeted tutoring that adapts to individual learning profiles.

Parents often come to me concerned about learning gaps, motivation, organization, or whether their child is truly being supported in the way they need. My role is to bring structure, insight, and calm to that process. I work collaboratively with families to create intentional learning plans that are realistic, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based educational practice.

I use a Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and differentiated instruction approach. This approach allows me to support academic growth while also strengthening executive functioning, study skills, and self-regulation strategies that impact focus, engagement, and learning readiness.​

At the heart of my practice is a guiding belief: success through effort. When students are understood, supported, and taught in ways that meet them where they are, effort becomes purposeful and progress follows. My role is to create the conditions where students feel capable of trying, learning, and growing with confidence.
